This is getting ridiculous now :ph34r:  I'm actually off work ill today (stuffed full of the cold and feeling miserable :(  )but I'm having to go and take Disney in :huh:  I don't know what on earth he has done, but he isn't weight bearing on his left foreleg and everytime anything brushes against it, he is screaming the place down :(  I can't see anything obvious but it seems to be really painful around the dew claw area. The dew claw itself doesn't appear to be broken although the little drama queen keeps pulling his leg away.

Wish us luck........again ;)

Poor Disney :( Dew claw injuries can be very painful - perhaps there is a crack in the nail which isn't easily visible? Hope he's feeling better soon (and you too :))

Poor boy, Meg my lab behaved like this, and she had broken the bone leading down to her toe, not sure what it was called   B)  Hope he's feeling better soon.

He had to have a quick anaesthetic so that the vet could examine it properly as he couldn't see anything obvious and he was screaming the place down :ph34r:  The dew claw has a broken bit right at the base where it meets the skin - apparently he is going to be very tender there for a few days. He got injections of painkiller & antibiotic and I just have to keep an eye on it and use further pain relief if required.

He was only asleep for about 5 mins or so (this was about 3.30) but he can't keep his wee eyes open. I dread to think what he's going to be like when he gets a full anaesthetic :o  No doubt he is going to milk this in the way only a cocker knows how :lol:
