It's incredible the trouble they can get into!

Hope he's soon feeling better. I guess it will be jelly and ice cream diet for a couple of days then.

It's them there 'ooks on the ends. Nasty bu***rs they are.
Did the vet actually find them imbedded in his tonsil  :o or had they gone further down and he actually swallowed some?

The only way I can get those big ones out of Ferns coat is to break them apart whilst they are still within her coat  and then tease the individual seeds out bit by bit with a comb. Horrid things  >:(

Yes. I agree with Annette - better get busy tonight making the ice cream and jelly (beef flavour of course).  I'm sure Ben will appreciate it  :shades:

Hope you're feeling a lot better tomorrow Ben  :luv: (and hope you're feeling a bit better now too Debbie  )

Oh mate that sounds really horrid  :o :o  Hope Ben's on the mend soon  :luv: :luv: :luv:

I think a glass of wine (or several) is called for - purely for medicinal purposes of course - and as Ben is too young to drink you ought to have it on his behalf   ;)

The vet didn't say he'd found anything embedded - just reported the damage done   I've been picking splinter like bits off me all evening - they really irritate when they work through your clothing and I'd hate to have even one stuck in my throat  :o

I'm feeling a bit better now thanks - got over my girly tears I think.  I've just started a chilled bottle of 'Christmas' wine (had to wait for it to chill - much like me) and now I keep thinking of his behaviour.  He was heaving sooooo hard that his little body was almost turning inside out - and the noise .......................... it was a loud constant groan/howl that I've never heard a dog do before  :'(  Poor lad was running in circles and throwing himself on the floor but still managed to wag his matted stump of a tail when I stoked him  :luv:

I really miss him and just hope that he's OK at the vets.  Ooops - getting tearful again - I mustn't have any more wine  :shades:

Just about to post this when I saw your reply Sarah!  As you can see - the wine therapy is making me worse  :D
