Grubby teeth
« on: July 20, 2007, 05:03:15 PM »
Which are the best type of bones for cleaning teeth?    Bonnee has quite a bit of tartar for such a young dog, and I want to avoid a dental if I can  ::) I will be feeding chicken and rabbit, but are recreational bones like knuckles better for the teeth?

I don't know whether Bonnee can eat pork (I know some COL'ers dogs can't!) but Domino had quite bad tartar on his teeth although at that time I was cleaning them every day & I gave him a pork bone & hey presto - gleaming gnashers!! ;)

Spike has a true Hollywood smile & he has managed the odd beef bone although Domino finds them a bit hard going to get through! :shades:
