Maddi has been speyed
« on: September 03, 2007, 05:45:18 PM »
Well, Maddi got speyed on Friday.  All went well. She was really groggy on Friday night, then on Saturday morning it was like she had had nothing done!!

I'm off my work for two weeks, and am keeping her 'lampshade' off during the day, onlu putting it on at night.

I took her dressing off yesterday morning as instructed by the vet, and she bit me!!   >:D  I don't like getting plastersoff either!

She is back to her normal self, keeps scratching but it's not at the wound, more like where the hair has been shaved, and they shaved loads of her wee tummy!

Am I ok to let her scratch/lick, as long as it isn't the wound?  Lets face it the bikini line itches doesn't it ladies!!!! :005:

I must apologise, I do ramble on!

Glad Maddie is OK!!

Molly licked her wound and the area around it for a couple of weeks after she got spayed!

Just make sure she's not over licking and making it sore and also make sure she doesnt start licking as a habit as it can become compulsive behaviour!
