Why have the snip?
« on: October 10, 2007, 01:11:57 PM »
I know Im an ameter cocker Mum, but when would I realise that Whistler needs a snip? I know our border needs one as only 1 testicle has come down. But do they get ratty? hump everything in sight? what?
Its a daft question but i honestly do not know the answer all previous dogs were bitches!!

Thanks Sheryl it did help I will keep him in 1 piece unless something changes for the worst. we were also advised to have Jake done at 6 months but OH wants to wait. Um so we will wait for at least 12 months and have the vet check him again then.

All vets seem to advise to have dogs with undescended whatsits done at 6 months, but it's totally unnecessary to do it that early. ::)

Jarvis has one undescended too and he's getting done tomorrow, but he's 15 months old, ;) and if it wasn't for the fact that i'm getting Lucy done at the same time i'd have left it another year or so.
Owned by Jarvis (Cocker), and Lucy (Cavalier).
