White spot and scabs...any ideas?
« on: May 29, 2008, 09:51:37 PM »
Hi,

My cocker has a skin infection of some sort, it started out as small sore patches smaller than a 5pence piece that we're a bit flakey/scaby but today we noticed a little white spot in the same area, going to take her to see the vet soon, but just wondered if anyone has any experience of this, or any ideas what it might be?

Millie isn't bothered by them, their not sore when we touch them and she's not licking or biting them, but then nothing really seems to bother Millie lol

Any replies appreciated

Thanks
G

Poor Millie, I've no idea what that could be but I would let your vet see her as soon as possible in case it spreads. Usually starting proper treatmen early makes it easier to deal with   ;)

Do you mean like little squeezy spots? If so Bracken gets this and when we took her to the vet he thinks it's down to a mild food allergy. We our currently eliminating different food groups and think it is either beef or mince as she seems to have improved since we removed those from her diet.

Where abouts are the patches and spots?
