Runny eye.....

Sammy has been having a runny eye these last couple of days. We've bathed it and it seemed ok, but it's started again and this time he's licking his paw and wiping it. There's no gunge coming out, just quite watery. Has anyone got any ideas? I'll probably ring our vet, but if any of you on here know me, we haven't got much confidence in ours, and not many people we know from our walks, have got much in theirs too, so it's a catch 22 situ, do we change or better the devil you know Anyway, your ideas will be most welcome

have you been able to pull the eyelid right back and have a good look?  This happened to Jarv twice, one eye streaming, and the vet pulled his eyelid back and there was a great big seed sitting there....

sounds like he's got something in there if it's streaming and not gunky

...I've had a look and there doesn't seem to be anything there, but it is slightly redder than his other eye. I'll see how it goes today as the streaming has stopped for now,  thanks for your reply
