Georgie has been stung!
« on: August 08, 2008, 09:43:49 AM »
I tell you this dog finds trouble everywhere!
I had let him and Digby out for a wee in the garden yesterday afternoon, and was watching them having a play and took my eyes off George for a minute and I hear this slight yelp and he comes running in and half of his face was like a balloon :o  I was so scared :embarassed:

I didnt know what I should do so took him down to the vets who saw him within a few mins and gave him an injection and he has some Piriton tablets to take for a day or 2. The vet says he probably tried to eat a bee or wasp ::)
The vet said, it doesnt seem to have bothered him much! At this point George was trying to make friends with a whippet and a shetland who were both looking at his fat face as if he was mental :005:
Well his swollen face has come down alot now and he is starting to look normal again, bless him!
:005: When we got home, Digby took one look at him as if to say ' hhhmmm a show cocker wouldnt get himself in these types of scrapes!'

Glad that he is better.

Seems to be a few cockers getting stung at the moment. I'm going to stock up on piriton just in
case.

Poor Georgie, it's not nice, is it? Another dog on here, Melody, was stung too and her owner posted a photo of her swollen face, so I can imagine how Georgie looked and felt. I hope he feels better now. :luv:

Georgie, stop trying to eat wasps, it's not a great idea! :lol2:

Poor Georgie - I hope he feels better soon  :-*

I think I need an early night - the first time I read your post, I wondered why there was a pony in your vets surgery for George to make friends with  ph34r

I cant beleive it but he was stung again last night!
We were sat watching TV and I noticed somthing moving on the floor and jumped up but George got there before me and decided best course of action was to lick it  ::) (you would think he had some fear from last time but no!!) and low and behold he started crying  :'(
He was ok though, and I have him some of the allergy tablets the vet had given me last time.

It could only happen twice in one week to George ::) :005:
