Whimper while doing the loo
« on: March 06, 2009, 12:36:11 PM »
Sorry - didn't really know what to title it!!

The last two nights, Murphy has let out a wee whimper when doing a poop.  He only ever poops on our evening walk, and will go three times (so predictable) he is only whimpering with the first poop.

Any ideas?

Maybe get his anal glands checked and emptied if need be, but I would get him checked anyway as it has been a couple of nights. It can't hurt and will put your mind at rest.

Thanks 5scompany, I was going to be making a gland emptying appointment for him cos his breath is rotten, hopefully that will be the problem.  Maddi has just scooted along the carpet, and not long been wormed, could be getting her done too  ::)

If they've not long been wormed it could just be down to that. If you were going to make an appointment at the vets anyway at least it wont be an extra bill. Hope it all turns out ok.

He's stopped doing it - very mysterious - I'll keep an eye on him, and his poop
