Wasp Sting

How long should it take for swelling to go down from a sting?

Baja was stung this morning, so we popped him into the vet at 8.30am and they gave him an injection. His swelling around his mouth went down this afternoon, but there is still a fair bit of swelling on the side.

We think he was stung on his tummy as he had a little lump and was swollen there too.

Poor thing, how long should it take to go down, could it be something else?

Normy reacts badly to things like this and can take a few days to get back to normal and my last cocker used to catch bees and get stung on his nose regularly ::) He constantly seemed to have bumps/swellings on his nose in the summer too...

If the vet has seen him, I wouldn't worry too much just now.. if he's still bad tomorrow, then maybe give them a ring but it sounds fairly normal at the moment and even if slowly, is going down so that's a good thing :-* :-*
