Zen spent the night at the vets.
« on: June 29, 2011, 10:43:01 AM »
After the walk last night, as soon as we got back inside the gate, Zen started to be sick. He was also whining and howling. he then wandered round the garden being sick and crying. I rushed him to the vet which is 20 miles away, upsetting a couple of snail paced drivers on the way. He howled and barked all the way there and he is NOT a barker so I knew there was a big problem.
The vet examined him and asked if he had eaten anything as he was now foaming at the mouth. I knew it was possible as I took 5 of them out at the same time and they were all off lead. I had to leave him there for an X-ray.
By the time I got home the vet had phoned and said that the X-ray was clear but they were going to keep him overnight. The vets thinks he may have eaten a magic mushroom :o
Vet called this morning, Zen is fine and I collected him at 9am. He is a bit subdued. Do you get a hangover from magic mushrooms???

OH is out this morning looking for them :005:

Poor Zen, gorgeous name by the way ;)

I'm of no use with this I'm afraid, just hope Zen gets better soon.

Poor Zen  :'( I'm glad he's back home with you and feeling better.
The mushrooms of the magic variety are out in force this year, I always thought mushrooms were an Autumn thing  Luckily my 2 leave mushrooms well alone (about the only food stuff they don't eat)

Poor Zen - sounds a scarey experience but glad all turned out OK in the end  :luv: :luv:

I have no ides what magic mushrooms look like or where they normally grow  ph34r  ...better Google it to educate myself I think - as your thread shows, you just never know what a cocker might do next  :fear2:
