white residue from nose

Hi all not sure if this is a health problem or common in working cockers.

Every time i take Marley for a walk a white residue builds up on either nostril almost like he has a runny nose, i wipe it off and more develops further on in the walk.

Is this normal???

He doesn't have a cold or allergy to anything.

Just want a bit of reassurance that this happens to other cockers

It's fine, absolutely normal.  I'd be wiping it off forever if I did that with Jarvis 

Their noses are going overtime so produce a bit of froth.  If it's any other colour than white/clear I would worry 

(they also foam a bit at the mouth especially when they scent a bitch in season)

yer that's nothing to worry about Bob get it as well and he is a show type

Yep Cupar gets this too when sniff sniff sniffing along when on a walk. I think their noses just go into overdrive, little darlings

Back on topic...Milly's just the same when she's snuffling about in the grass or if she's been running a lot. We just wipe her nose from time to time but we've not had a lot of success with the "Blow" command.

Beau also gets a runny nose when we are out on a walk,  we usually have to wipe it with a tissue before any photos   
A while ago we noticed a bit of a green discharge from his nose so took him to the vet, who diagnosed an ear infection with a secondary infection in his nose.  Antibiotics and much ear cleaning and his nose got back to normal (white frothy runny on walks)

Ben gets this too - its really horrible as by the time he has run around and rolled a bit usually he has a thin white line of manky stuff in a splatter pattern effect around his face - charming

Same as Ruby,and dry leaves are natures tissues don't you know,nothing quite like a face wipe with a crispy leaf,though i don't think Ruby is impressed when i do it
