I posted over the weekend about Frankie, he developed what looked like a lump on his leg at the back, and also smalls lumps on the top of his head, this was just before xmas, after constantly using Hibiscrub I found it wasnt a lump on his leg but a groups of small crusts type sores and same on his head so he was put on a course of steroids, his leg seemed to clear but his head no better and in fact has got worse in the past 10 days, his eyes are slightly watery and he his nose red raw either side of his nostrils. We have been back to the vet and he says it allergies, but said it could be many things, food, bedding, garden. told us the dust in the dry food can cause if if kept in a container, maybe something in the garden. we moved back from Spain in Nov 2011 and never had a problem with him there or in the first year we have lived in this house, its literally started in December, although his food is the same, his bedding constantly washed and the only thing is maybe hes picked up something from the garden. In September we found him with a dead squirrel which we quickly got away from him so I did wonder if that has something to do with it but am sure it would have shown up before December. The vet has given him more steroids, anti fuungal gel for his head, and eye drops and told me to wash his feet in hibiscrub and if hes no better in 10 to 14 days to go back and we would have to start the testing. It's so hard to watch them suffer with itching and licking and also when they get sore. Hopefully we can find the answers for them.
