Licking concrete, bricks and stones
« on: June 11, 2007, 08:07:33 AM »
Rocky has always liked to lick concrete (particularly at the stables :005:) which I put down too teething as it was as the same time, however this hasn't stopped since he stopped teething and he has now taken to licking paving slabs, bricks and stones I just wondered if anyone else's puppy/dog does this, or is it just him and he missing some type of mineral?

I would imagine that at the stables it's because of the smell of the horses and horse manure. Paving slabs etc Bird Pooh? A couple of mine have a "thing" for bird pooh  ph34r or it could be the scent of some other little critter in your garden.

Ella and Marley both enjoy the plaster on our partially decorated kitchen wall. Both have appeared with white faces due to knawing at it
