First Season - what to Expect?

All,
Cinder is approaching 7 months old and I am told that I should expect her first season at around 9 months?

Please could someone point me to an idiots guide on what to look for / how to look after her /working out when her season is / how long it lasts etc etc as we have no ideas

All bitches are different Ben - some have their first season as early as 6 months, some as late as 18 months (or even later than this!). Your best bet would be to get yourself a copy of The Book Of The Bitch by Evans & White - it covers all aspects of a bitch's health including seasons. No bitch owner should be without a copy

Ruby's (blue roan) had her 1st season when she was about 13 months old, and the run up to it seemed endless as her behaviour began to change! Thank goodness I don't have to worry anymore about it as she was spayed after that.
