Title: Large teats
Post by: xionone on October 04, 2020, 02:41:36 PM
Hi, I have a 4 1/2 year old intact bitch English (Show) cocker - always been low energy but no issues reported by vets after blood tests etc - just a quiet cocker. She has never had puppies.
However she has always had large teats - they don't really change size between or during her seasons - but they are literally a handfull.  When she sits the lowest pair are always on the ground!
When lying on her back her 'belly' never goes 'tight' - just a handfull of loose teats.
She is 13.3Kg, 39cm height to shoulder, (approx' 32lb, 15.5") and has a good body shape when looked at from above (clearly defined waist below ribs, pelvis is wider than waist) so I don't believe this is an obesity issue.
My question is do these large teats present a long term health issue (excess cancers etc)?
