I think I have a gremlin in my pc.

Earlier tonight it started to throw a box up everytime you click on a website...it gives lots of details...and if a password was typed in it shows the password!  >:(

I have tried to copy t to show you but it won't!!

It is very annoying and a bit worrying!

I have done a virus check tonight and spyware etc and it did find a few things all of which have been killed...but it is still doing it....

Any ideas what it is anyone? and more importantly how to get rid of it?

http://www.lavasoftusa.com/software/adaware/

Try downloading this and see if it helps. Is your firewall up and running and do you have all the latest microsoft updates installed ? These would be the first things to check.

I wouldnt do any Online banking ect until you have sorted it out.

Have tried this and it didnt find anything new.

I can't do any more updates for windows as MS have identified my copy of XP Pro as counterfeit  ph34r and I can no longer receive them.

I am going to re-install windows tomorrow night (from a different copy  ;)) and hopefully this should fix the immediate problem. Do you think this is correct?

Once I have a new copy on the PC I will virus check...etc...and fingers crossed the box problem goes away!

Cheers
