Virus?

I'm worried my PC has a dreaded virus ph34r

If I do a google search the results are not the websites I would hope for :huh:

I've run AVG and seems ok  :-\

Obviously I can't search to find out what is the likely cause ::)

are you searching for something that could be misinterpretted?
Cockers can get some 'interesting' results!!
Try something like UK weather or delia Smith and see if you get 'Normal' results

No and I'm not getting rude sites either.  For instance if I searched for 'tennis' the results would bring up Wikipedia or BBC Sport but the actually web address is totally wrong and if I click on it briefly comes up with www.secure.bidvertiser.com in the address bar before a random website :huh:

I've been getting behind with running SPybot and Ad-Aware.  Just about to run them to see if that helps ;)

i had a huge virus last week got most of it sorted but this keeps happening to me aswell
how to i get it sorted

If you don't already have it, Google 'Ad-Aware 2008 Free' and download the latest version (7.1.0.11). Should help, and do a scan every week or so. Just follow the download prompts.  Best part is - It's Free!!!!!!!!!

download superantispyware and run that...it is fab....keeps our pc running well and keeps it very clean!!!

Well, for same strange reason all is now ok :-\  It wasn't this morning but my AVG scan was set for this afternoon and it's been back to normal since.  Strange as I ran a scan yesterday and it didn't help at all.  For the time being I'm happy though ;)

If it starts again - re set it to a date in the past when you knew it was ok - only if you won't loose anything - this usually resolves my problems
