Title: Bosley at vets, foreign body removal
Post by: PennyB on August 09, 2018, 10:54:13 AM
Just left Bosley at the vets - he went down really quickly even though he tried to fight the sedation poor love. He's having an exploratory to see what's wrong with this infection - could be a foreign body in there. More worried than usual as I guess its still raw over Lady and he is my baby boy.

Worse is its on his willy sheath

He's back - was one of those nasty grass seeds that have pointy bits and they can wreak havoc - it was creating 3 sinus tracts which is why it didn't heal up - 2 tracts had already appeared this week - he has 8 stitches in his willy sheath and not happy poor love

How's Bosley doing now Penny?

Taking it all in his stride really and doing everything he should be doing (you know our obsession with weeing and pooing and drinking and eating LOL and he's doing all that) - he's a good patient and wears the bucket well - think in the house they get used to seeing them with fosters coming and going too so they sigh but wear it without complaint. (I do cut them down a little though so they're more comfortable to use in the house) With really wet weather reluctant to walk him until after checkup tomorrow.

Vet was impressed - also impressed in way I handled everything too to avoid issues - funny how I just use common sense LOL. Stitches out on Tuesday so let's hope stitches stay in till then (have taken Boz's bucket off for now as the weather is also making his ears sweaty in the bucket with no air to keep them dry)
