Hope all goes well with Willow tomorrow.
Erin has had 2 lots of dental treatment done..the first when she rolled off the bed during the night knocking her mouth on the wardrobe  resulting in her breaking 5 teeth and leaving the roots behind and again last year for 3 removals and a scale. She will not and never has chewed bones etc so I am sure she will require more treatment in the future. On both occasions she was neither up nor down..still wanted fed ..I just made sure that the consistency was soft

Willow will be fine. My Twiggy had it done a few weeks ago. She was a rescue and fed on all sorts of crap, which is probably why her teeth have become so bad and scaly, as none of my previous dogs have ever suffered with tooth problems. Within a couple of hours she was back to her normal self, and beautiful sparkly white teeth too, which I have never seen on her before. We are in Bulgaria and my vet is fabulous. He collected her, did the work at his surgery, and brought her back once she had come round from the anaesthetic. I was quoted between £200 and £300 to get it done here in Cumbria, but my vet charged me 30 lev - approx. £12 - which was amazing. It is something I had been putting off due to the cost, but I am so glad I had it done. Her teeth are lovely again now, although I do believe that once it has been done, it will probably need doing again at some point.

Jinley is being spayed tomorrow and I have asked them to remove some plaque which has just started to form. (I didnt realise it might be painful) :huh: :huh:

They are also going to have a good look at her eyes and in her ears while they have the chance!

I think anesthetic is scary whatever it is for.  I am just dreading leaving Jinley at the vets.

I will be thinking of you and Willow too tomorrow  :luv: :luv:

I'm sure she'll be fine Maddy  :luv:  Our previous dog (Ben) went through this twice.  On the second occasion, he was 12 years old and came through the op just fine (although I was worried sick) he didn't seem to be in any pain afterwards.
