'Wart' in ear?
« on: August 16, 2018, 12:15:09 PM »
Hi all,

Was giving Jake a stroke today and he has a spot / wart type thing on his right ear?
Any ideas what it could be?

He has his annual vaccinations next week, so I asked the vet when I booked him in and they said as long as its not painful or bleeding, to just wait.

Just wondered if you'd seen anything like it before and what it might be?

Thanks!

When I read your post I thought at first it might be a tick but that's not what it looks like on the photo.
It could be a wart, cockers seem to be prone to them. Morgan had to have one removed from his forehead because he kept bashing and scratching it which made it bleed.
The other possibility that came to mind was that maybe he'd had a tick which then fell off as they can often leave little lumps behind afterwards.

It looks like a Histiocytoma and they tend to disappear as quickly as they arrive.
