Poor little Poppy  :luv:. She's clearly in the best place at the moment, but so, so difficult for you to see and when you just want to pick her up and make them better. My heart goes out to you. Sending heaps of positive thoughts your way and all hoping that the vet has positive news when you call.

To allay some of you worries, a dear friend and neighbour has a Westie that woke up completely unable to walk one morning back in Feb - they have no idea what happened. He was whisked off the the vet hospital in Bristol and had surgery on his back to remove a disc. I saw him the day he came home and he was trotting from car to house really well. And I can't tell you how well he is now, bouncing around, as normal and making as much noise as ever - you know what westies can be like!

Hugs to you all and our fingers are all crossed that little Poppy is feeling better and back home very soon.   :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug: :bigarmhug:

Awwww Poppy, hope you start to feel better soon sweetpea with the rest and meds.  Really feel for you as I suspect I will have the same problems with Maggie in the future and I know how much of a worry it is  :'(  Hopefully tho the cage rest will help calm the discs back down again and she won't need the surgery.

Sending lots of healing thoughts for your girl and hugs for you both  :bigarmhug:.
xx

Thanks again for all the positive thoughts.

Just phoned my vets and Poppy's back legs are the same - still the same neurological defecit but thankfully they have not got worse.  She has been sick and is still in a lot of pain which they are trying to get on top of so she can be more comfortable.  She was howling when I phoned but was due more pain relief.   Will phone again in the morning to see if her pain is under control and hopefully she has had a settled night.

They all love her at my vets so I know she will be well looked after  :luv:   Misty and Kinda are missing their big sister as they knew she wasn't well this morning  :luv:
