Watery eyes
« on: October 17, 2012, 05:47:29 PM »
Im not sure how usual this is. Rileys eyes tend to run a bit, when I say run I mean he has a slight wet stain near his eyes.
It happens quite a bit. I have started to wipe them with a clean bit of cotton wool dipped in slightly salted water.
Wondering if this is what I should do.  Ive also noticed that his lower lids are quite a bit away from his eye , but Im thinking thats common with cockers.
Its not stained or coloured its just clear. Wondering if it could be some sort of allergy

Bellas 5 yrs has always had watery eyes. I don't wipe them everyday at the moment as she's in and out of water but in cooler weather when she avoids water they need wiping every day as the fur gets clogged up and becomes hard.
I've spoken to the breeder about it and apparently her dad has watery eyes too.
Molly has same dad but she doesn't have watery eyes
