Inserting Link word
« on: September 04, 2007, 12:03:27 AM »
How do you insert a link so that a word takes you to the link instead of posting the actual link if that makes sense? Like when people write Click HERE and the 'here' takes you directly to the website.
Thanks

Insert the web link as normal eg - [ur l] http:// www. cockersonline.co.uk/discuss

Then take away the second bracket and replace it with an = sign eg -

Then add another bracket before the last /url. eg - [ur l=http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss]

Then inbetween the 2 brackets add your word eg - [ur l=http://www.cockersonline.co.uk/discuss ] HERE

Should end up with you being able to go HERE

I had to put spaces in between words to show you what i was doing but when you are doing it dont use any spaces!

HTH and is not too confusing!!

Thanks, I had been wondering that too.

Now to see if I can remember that when I need to!

Yeahhh, I did it.  Now my post looks like this!
Hope you're feeling better also, espically now that you have your own little PAT puppy.
I wanted to do it as, before this forum I hadn't known that PAT was pets as therapy.  Thanks!!
