Site Problems ?
« on: December 08, 2004, 03:56:11 PM »

Has anyone else been having trouble getting on the site recently ? It's happened to me a few times - on one occasion Mary told me she was logged on yet all I could get was that irritating "page cannot be displayed" thing. Posts have been made during the other times I couldn't access the site too.

Is it just happening to me ?

I've experienced the 'page not available' syndrome a couple of times too Colin, recently, but I just try again later and it seems fine - dont know what the problem is (gremlins!), but at least it's not just you  ;)

I've had that a lot - I have to disconnect the internet connection and restart it   It does tend to be at lunchtimes when I haven't logged out in the morning

Over the last several weeks, I have been quite happily looking at all the topics on the site, adding things and waiting for questions and answer to come up - but - nothing - ...

There seems to be nobody on the site on a regular basis, and the times that I have logged on, I seem to be the only person /member on the website.  If I want to add something I feel is important or relevant, it takes two days to get onto the forum, if at all .... some of the things I put on, like on Anything Goes such as word association etc don't go on at all - someone else's input goes on all of a sudden and mine is like history .....

Same here and I'm finding the gallery sometimes just freezes on me too. I close Internet Explorer and then open it again and that normally fixes the gremlins

I haven't personally experienced any problems in accessing the forum in the last few days so haven't had the error messages but perhaps they happen at particularly busy times of the day (eg lunch-times) when too many people are trying to access the same page? Or perhaps it is only happening with particular ISPs? Not sure really but I'm sure Stuart will look into it when he sees this.
