I have a Sony Ericsson mini pro phone which has a querty keyboard for texting. I find it much easier than touch texting. Today I couldn't get the querty keyboard to work so I spoke to my son who was at work (IT engineer). He did a little research and read that if the keyboard was near a magnet it could disable the keyboard. I was just thinking this could not be the cause of my problem, but then I remembered I'd used a new Xmas present handbag which has ..... a magnetic fastener!. The solution apparently is to run the back of the keyboard over the magnet to enable it again. I've tried this, but it hasn't worked. Am hoping my son may have the right tech touch to get the keyboard going again. If I'm lucky enough to get the problem resolved I will be extremely careful with phones/handbag fasteners in future. Has anybody else had any problems with phones and magnetic fasteners?
