computer problems

When we try to bid on items on ebay or visit some sites and want to buy things the message this page cannot be displayed keeps coming up. We keep trying to alter our security settings as people we have asked think it could be due to that but the strange thing is up until the past few months or so we had no problems. Any ideas? Also we have recently got broadband via tiscali and connected fine using the modem supplied. We want to go wireless as eventually my daughter wants a computer upstairs. We bought the adaptor for the computer as it isnt wireless enabled and also wireless router but it doesnt work. It just keeps saying wireless connection could not be established! Any help would be gratefully received as i'm going mad here!!

Sorry can't help but just wanted to tag a wee plea on. I hate computers and my one will not let me view link pages, it keeps saying pop up window blocked. I have checked my setting and I have marked to allow for pop ups so what do I do now
