LG KS360 phone earpiece broken

I wonder if anyone can help out please. My son hd this phone last xmas and it is just out of warranty. When he receives a call or rings someone he can't hear them unless he has the loudspeaker on! Any idea how much it would cost to repair? Thanks.

I've rung a friend who owns a phone shop in Cardiff, she thinks it should be under warranty (she thought it had 18 month warranty)

She said 'about £30 to repair, but the handset is only about £60 now' so she suggested not bothering to repair it.

thanx very much for taking the trouble to find out for me. I really appreciate it. Will pass the info on to my son and we will look and see if we have the receipt.
