Anyone have problems with their computer after using Photobucket?
A week ago I used it to upload quite a few photos and opted to use the multi photo mode that does the job quicker. A box came up and said it was not a trusted site and did I want to proceed? As I wasn't concentrating sufficiently I agree and then immediately regretted it
The computer went really odd - I lost my browser (Safari) and my hard drive icon. I started to panic, switched the computer off and then on again, the hard drive icon had reappeared but everything behaved differently
When I deleted files on my desk top they just disappeared but didn't show up in the trash.
I KNOW I was really silly for agreeing to proceed
but it is done now
I have used Disc Ultility to repair disk permissions (I have an IBook) and things SEEM back to normal but I can't help worrying that something is lurking on my computer
I have Firewall on but I wonder if I should do more?
I just wondered if any fellow COLers have had a similar experience.
