Which PC bundle to buy?
« on: January 01, 2010, 09:17:18 AM »
I'm looking to buy my 2 teenagers a PC to share, mainly for homework, msn, games etc.
Only the Currys website there are 2 different bundles that look promising, both the same price (£400) but I don't know which to chose

Which would be the better model ?

Intel Pentium Dual Core E5300 processor or Intel Core 2 Quad processor??

The rest of the bundle is comparable, both 19 inch monitors, both 320 GB etc

Any thoughts appreciated  :D

OH just had a quick look- he reckons the HP Pavillion looks the best - faster RAM memory and 1TB hard drive capacity - hope this helps  :-*

the quad processor would appear to be the better bet it has 3gb ram as well which may be a tad slower but this will be more than made up for by the four processor cores running at a higher speed than the two in the pavilion.
A 1TB harddrive might seem great but are you really going to store that much data and what will you back it up to?

I seriously doubt you will ever fill the 320 GB let alone a harddrive 3 times bigger
