I found a baby gate between the kitchen and the lounge very useful. It is still in place today and is very useful when we come in muddy. Also, I found that the bitter apple didn’t work with Izzy but a thick solution of white pepper and water did the trick.

Rather than the cocker specific bowl I would buy small puppy bowls, easier to get their little head in.
I wouldn’t spend a lot on things they grow out of, Alfie has destroyed two beds

The one thing Alfie loves is his cuddly Rabbit, but he also adopted a neck pillow, so you might want to include a curly toy too.

We bought the big pack of puppy pads, but he used to shred them, so they became used a super absorbing towels when he had an accident inside.

Still got a load left.

Warn your neighbours, s9 they are aware and expecting the noise at night.

Well you are getting prepared, when is pup due to be with you? Mine is due to be end of March  :luv:

Here’s some suggestions re socialising him in our current COVID climate and basic training pre vaccinations

In the garden let him sniff around then to start when he looks up towards you I would run away and when he chases you stop and call him and crouch down and when he gets to you to praise him / make a fuss of him - this will help with his recall later.

I would also be taking him out in the car and carry him around town to get him socialised with things like cars, lorries, (in normal times, which we are not in, unfortunately - I would also take him to the supermarket / school gates (still in your arms ) as then he would meet loads of different people who go ooo ahhh)

If you can take him (still carrying him, until he’s had all his vaccinations) and let him see horses, cows, sheep etc.

Once he is fully vaccinated I would do all the above but this time with him on a lead and on the ground - but only for short spells.

Wishing you all the best and look forward to meeting him
