I wanted to say thankyou-re will we ever sleep!
« on: February 10, 2004, 12:21:27 PM »
I wanted to thanks everyone for all the fabulous advice I got re Indie not sleeping. I'm delighted to report that for the past three weeks, he's been sleeping right through, in his new bigger crate.

I think the problem was he could hear us, watching tv in bed etc, or talking, and this was making him hard to settle. He's now jumping into his crate at bedtime, and is often still asleep when we wake up. I didn't want to post this earlier as I was afraid I'd jinx myself

Anyway, if anyone else is having the same problem, it does get better!

I'm glad Indie has settled down & is now sleeping through the night.  Spare a thought though for those of us with elderly cockers (& other breeds I expect) who need to get up in the night to "spend a penny".  My Bess (who's nearly 12) always wakes me up somewhere between 4 & 5 am when she needs to go out.  I wish I'd trained her to use a litter tray when she was young. Has anyone ever trained a cocker to use a litter tray I wonder?  Maybe I'd better post this on the training forum  :?

Can you tell me what this is?  I keep seeing people referring to it - is it a big cage? if so, how do they go to the toilet in it?
