Jane has asked me to bring issues arisen from Finn's thread in the rescue sectrion to this one, though I want to stress this is not a problem or criticism, but is meant to be a helpful ,suggestion/idea for improvement to the rescue section, please mods do take these suggestions with reference to the spirit in which they are therefore meant - ie, positive
.
Many of us thoroughly enjoy the rescue section, but dog rescue is a difficult and highly emotive issue in general in which many would like additional support, including me. From a constructive and solution focused point of view, might it be an idea to have a mini forum, attached to COL, perhaps in the rescue section or another, that discusses particular rescue cocker homing issues, such as, the needs of rescue working cockers vs rescue show cockers or rescue breeding bitches or rescue ex studs and the differences, cocker oldies, adolescents etc?
It would also help provide a space to talk for those those who already have cocker rescues, or those desperate to offer a home, but who are worried about making a mistake. Also, it may give a forum for the emotional issue of cocker rescue rehoming , where people need to talk/share/seek info.
Failing this, perhaps a series of links as a sticky that may provide similar?
What do others think?
