How does one block out the forums that they don't use or want to see?

I don't think it's possible to block out individual boards but you can collapse a section and then the boards within that section won't be visible when viewing the home page of the forum. eg If you don't want Anything Goes, PC Help etc to be visible, click on the 'minus' icon next to Off Topic and the entire section will collapse.
