Wow! They are both doing so well and are stunning cockers  :luv: :luv:

Thank you so much for sharing their progress - a real inspiration to anyone who has dogs that are reactive or barkers - just fab  :D

Now if only my neighbours knew about this place....

It's a 3 week course and this is their 10th day so quite a bit to go yet (sob sob, I really miss them). They really seem to be coming on though, and you can visibly see from the photos that Sapphie has relaxed and is playing now.

I am so pleased for you that they are showing progress.  Hope they come back home all sorted.

I've been keeping an eye on this thread, both dogs look so much more relaxed and happier in the latest photo's.  Good luck to you all and what good luck those two cockers had finding you!

Yes, I see at least 10 photos of them a day and you can visibly see the progression and relaxation. Just hope the progress doesn't all disappear once they get home!
I'm wondering how I can continue their socialisation because I don't actually know many people with dogs. Perhaps having them go on a group walk once a week or so? The dog sitter we have booked for later in the year does them, and when we visited his house (he has no resident dog) the dogs loved it, and him (to my surprise, as Lottie doesn't generally like strange men). So perhaps that would be a good thing to do.

I imagine it would be a slow process to start to accept other dogs near them now, look on the brightside at least on the last photo they're not snarling/growling or barking at the collie.

Re socialisation I know my boy is reactive to people (just some now, used to be all) and some dogs,  but we continue with his socialisation at ring craft, obedience and agility to get him used to being around people and dogs in a controlled environment.

Lottie is reactive to people anywhere, but particularly in the house and particularly near me, and it only really got bad after she was attacked (by a dog, not a person!).

You have done such an amazing job, and had the patience of a saint.  They are so lucky to have you as I can imagine very few people would have gone to the lengths you have.  Can I ask what residential course you used? Just in case my dog needs it later, she is not so good around other dogs either x

Just putting here because it made me laugh - they all want a cuddle at the same time!

I understand Lottie met a few new people yesterday and it all went well.
