Harry - 1 Year Old Boy @ Many Tears

30-01-15 Harry is an 18 month old ex-stud cocker spaniel although he may well have some working cocker spaniel in him too. Harry was incredibly frightened when arriveved here with us but already shows some signs of relaxing in his new surroundings. He was frightened to the extreme and we do think if he was pushed and felt threatened then he would snap although he has not done this here as we are giving him the time he needs to learn to trust us.  For this reason Harry is looking for a home without children and with people experienced with frightened dogs. Harry is absolutely lovely with other dogs and will share his bed and allow the little dogs he is kenneled with to snuggle right into him for warmth and security. He will absolutely need a home with another dog or dogs and this will help him with lead walking and house training. We think that as he settles he will become a wonderful boy who will need plenty of exercise. Can you help Harry to trust?

True, but at least he stands a good chance of settling into a loving home while he is still young I suppose

09/03/15  Update Harry is in desperate need of your help, he needs special people to come and sit with him, talk to him and encourage him to be brave. Harry is still so fearful of the world and he fills his life with worry. Harry is desperate and we are too.
.....Harry hides from everything in the world however recently has been brave enough to stay in the front of the kennels whilst we walk in and through his kennel.
.....This lost soul needs a VERY special someone with experience of scared dogs who will bring him on and teach him to forget about all the worries in his life. Harry is very special please come and spare some time to help us to help him.

That is such a damn shame. At 18 months he ought to be racing round and stealing anything not nailed down! What on earth can have happened to make him so afraid? I am guessing that he didn't come up to snuff as a stud dog and so was got rid of.
