I really, really have had it this time >:(!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I posted the other day to say how well Honey was doing recently - well I really wish I hadn't bothered.

Prepare yourself for this :shades:

I have a four year old who won't flush the toilet! We have had much debate about it. My eldest child to tell me there is pooh in the toilet that 4 year old has not flushed. I asked her to go flush it, but when she got there, you know who is there with her head in the toilet :shades: .

I am sure I do not have to tell you what she was doing and the tell tale smell on her breath answered any doubts I may have done.

She does nibble on cat pooh occasionally, but this is the final straw!!!!!!!!!!!! I am really cross and feel like crying - but I know she is a dog and doesn't care who the offensive object belongs to.

I just don't understand her - everythig had been going so well - but I feel as if she has crossed an unacceptable boundary.

And believe me I also feel like throttling the little minx who didn't flush >:(

Right - first - calm and chill. This is perfectly normal - it's nothing to worry about and is not a sign that the wheels are about to come off. Often dogs and certainly puppies will jump at the chance to eat human poo to them it's yummy  ph34r but obviously very unpleasant for us. Must admit I don't know many that would stick their head down the loo though  :005:

It's another thing that you have to proof against. Thatr means flushing obviously - easier said than done with some kids - I do know exactly what that is like - but then it's putting the lid down and keeping the doors shut. Does your daughter know the results of her inactions? She's not to young to understand.

Try not to be upset - they don't do it on purpose - they just see opportunities and take them.

Go have a coffee and a biscuit  ;)

Yes she knows now the results of not flushing- unfortunately they see the funny side rather more than i do! :shades: They will probably also find it so funny that they will tell everyone they meet (especially the older one who you may recall has AS)

I have had a cup of tea and some revels (OH replaced yesterday's bag which you probably recall Honey also ate :shades:).

It's the shape of the loo - it's kind of designed to be old fashioned and when the little one uses it, things tend to not go right down if you get my drift ;)

Oh poohr you.
Thankfully I seem to have escaped that endearing quality with Fern.  :D

  • yippee, water!!
oh kb, I know how you feel....   my nearly 7 year old son has a terrible aim when weeing, and Dillon is forever licking the toilet rim and inside of the lid to remove the spray (if you see what I mean)
It is gross and drives me mad... >:D

If your little one can't flush the loo (my 3 year old can't do it - the lever is too stiff for her to use) just make sure the lid is closed, that way Honey can't get to the pooh....

Enjoy your tea and revels, and take a deep breath.   It will be fine.
