just go with the flow, don't be a competitive puppy mummy, in fact don't get worried at all! I learnt that very quickly - jarv's behaviour varied wildly from week to week, but as long as he was being socialised and WE learnt what we should be doing (had a fab puppy trainer
), it was fine. As soon as I relaxed about it and realised that every other pup had good or bad weeks I looked forward to going (and you can squidge other people puppies too
)

ps my worst moment was taking him back to an outdoor obedience class when he was 6 months old - he could walk on a loose lead, wait, lie down, recall etc etc etc.....UNTIL he was at the outdoor class (i nearly died at his behaviour...he was a lunatic!). Sooooooooooo it was a good reminder to lower my expectations and not to stop reinforcing his training as he catapaulted himself into adolescence
