We just got back from the vets - Good News UPDATE

and Hurley has to have a biopsy on Tuesday.   :-\

The vet is a little worried about his hurty paw. There is a small lump on the outside of his left foot. She thinks it could either be:

an infected tick bite
a histiocytoma which she said is a form of skin cancer that usually goes away on its own
or a mast cell tumour    :'(  :-\

The lump was white initially and then when she ran her finger over it - it went pink which made her slightly concerned.

We've been given some piriton for the histamine that it could have released?! We're booked in for a biopsy on Tuesday

I cant remember much else of what she said - cos as soon as she mentioned cancer my imagination went into overdrive  :-\

Tuesday's not far away, it's the waiting that does your head in, so you need to go and distract yourself over the weekend  :-* :-*

Thanks Helen  :-* :-* You're right its just the waiting that drives you insane  ::)

We followed the vets with a fab walk through the NF, just me and H and it was lovely - we played chase and swam in the river.



OH is away tonight - so Hurley will be sleeping upstairs with me  :005:

Try not to worry too much Caroline hun, I know it's easier said than done because I've been in the exact same situation. And look at Alfie... it did turn out to be the 'worst case scenario' for him but look at him now, he's absolutely fine. As the others have said, keep busy and take your mind off it, after this year I'm of the mindset that what happens happens and I deal with things as and when I know what they are but I don't panic about them beforehand. Do PM me if you want to talk though  :-* :-*

I know it must be nigh impossible to stop thinking about Tues & worrying about it, but as others have already said the best thing is to busy yourself with other things to try and take your mind off it.  Will be sending positive thoughts to you both on Tuesday.
