10 week feeding
« on: February 16, 2010, 03:45:25 PM »
My cocker Zac is 10weeks old and weighs 4.4kg and he is having Burns puppy bites and JWB pouches.

He is on 4 meals a day and each meal he has 25g of burns and a 1/4 of a pouch of JWB

Therefore he has 100g of burns and 1 pouch of JWB a day.

Is this ok?

When should I increase these amounts?

I am no expert but when I rang the Burns nutritionist for advice, she said 25gs for every kilo of the puppy bites, so if thats the case your pup is having too much if he is having Burns and a pouch :-\ You do have to use your own initiative to some extent to so you can alter to your Dogs own needs, but in my humble opinion he is having too much already, so I wouldn't be in any hurry to increase it. As an aside Belle never had more than 150gs a Day when she was on Puppy food as she was a little on the portly side and she was fed treats, its great food though  ;)
