Barking at children playing
« on: April 18, 2010, 02:37:53 PM »
Has anyone got some advice on how to stop our 1 year old pup from barking at children when they are playing?  I think its a noise thing as he will go up to a child and say hello usually looking quite happy.  We have recently got new neighbours who have two small children, when they play in the garden Chester just barks and barks and we have to fetch him in. It's hard to get his attention but when I do he does go in side albeit with a grumble or three!

Chester looking Gorgeous!!!

Hi Lou

I'm fairly inexperienced myself but one option would be to try teaching a 'quiet cue'?
