It should be ok as long as there's a recognised rescue involved - can't see rescue name mentioned in the thread unless I missed it. Freya, could you confirm the name of the rescue please and also contact details :)

I'm happy for it to stay as long as you assess the dog before rehoming, do homechecks on potential new owners & will take the dog back if there's a problem after he/she has been rehomed. I'm sure you do do this - it's really private rehomings where there is no assessment & no back up we want to avoid.

Yup, all thoroughly assesed and backed up, I normally take in springers but sometimes get cockers. Hoping in the next few years to get a few kennels and set up as registered springers so work along the principles I would have in place, full signed contract, neutering, back up and homecheck.
Thanks Jane, understand the cautiousness.
Anyone genuinely looking can PM me to be considered. :)

Have to say I adopted Ham through Freya, we were home checked, had to sign a contract, everything properly done.

If a pic of this wee guy goes up there's going to be a stampede - I've met him and he's a stunner, lovely wee guy with the silkiest coat I've ever seen. :)

First pic of Tyler - sorry buts it dark and raining here so not a good one.
So far so good, he's lovely and a bit shy but not grumpy, busy exploring the house.

That pic doesn't do hmi justice, he is gorgeous
He is 1 at the end of the month and he needs a home as his owner has gone onto to full time hours and felt bad leaving him all day. He is a sweetheart but hasn't had any training so she didn't let him free run and he pulls on the lead etc, but apart from that he is lovely  is a complete cuddle monster :D
He is neutered and won't come with any papers.
Got a sensitive tummy so only eats tinned chappie at present.
