I have just seen this on another forum and wonder if we have any French or Spanish members who could help.

It's so sad how many dogs there are in rescue over there. We own a house in spain and the community (mainly brits) support a local dog refuge. It is always full to bursting with foreigners abandoning dogs when they go 'home', locals abandoning them after hunting season and the biggest problem in at the end of Sept a huge number of puppies get abandoned by city dwellers who spend the summer at the seaside and buy a pup for entertainment for the kids. They have the cheek to dump them on the known Brit resorts as they know they will pick them up  >:D which I suppose is better than those that dump them on motorway to be killed which is very common  :'( :'(
We have a collection box for euros in our house an visitors leave their change which we donate and we also donate books to them for resale that people leave in the house which raises some more pennies. Hope the wee mite finds a home soon  :luv:
The reason dogs have so many friends is because they wag their tails instead of their tongues.
