Eddie- NESSR
« on: April 29, 2010, 06:45:31 PM »
Name: Eddie
Gender: Male
Age: 6.5
Breed: Show Cocker
Colour:  Blue Roan
Neutered: Yes
Vaccinated: Yes
Microchipped: Yes
Children: Yes
Cats: NO - Eddie does not like cats so we will not rehome him to a cat household
Other dogs: Eddie lives succesfully with a terrier bitch. Eddie needs feeding seperately as he will guard his bowl from other dogs
Description: Eddie is being rehomed as his family no longer have time for him and can't give him the attention or exercisen he needs.

Eddies current owners describe him as very friendly and loving and a dog who adores human company and attention. Eddie would benefit from some extra training as his recall is sloppy and he tends to return in his own good time.

Eddie has seperation anxiety. His current owners can go out but only if they crate him otherwise he becomes very stressed and destructive. He will also bark and whine when first left but usually settles when crated.
Type of Home Needed: EXPERIENCED COCKER OWNERS ONLY PLEASE. Eddie needs a family who is home most of the time where he will only be left for short periods of time. Eddie needs a family who MUST continue to use his crate when they are out because it is where he feels safe and calm when left. Even if you have other dogs Eddie MUST BE CRATED for his own wellbeing. Eddie can live with other dogs BUT you must feed them seperately to stop him guarding his bowl. If you are not prepared to use a crate please do not apply for Eddie.

Location: Name is currently living with his owners but he will be brought into the care of NESSR for final assessment before being rehomed. He is likely to be fostered in Gloucestershire so you must be willing to travel to met this boy.
