Title: Should I keep the pup inside until he finishes all his vaccines?
Post by: Arrielle on September 30, 2017, 12:21:27 PM
Hello,
In one week I'll bring home a pup (an ECS, male, parti color, open marks,  10 weeks old).
He will have only the first set of vaccines done and he will need to have 2 more sets in the next 6 weeks.
We also have an old dog.

I have a few questions.
1. Should I keep the dogs in separate rooms until the pup gets all his vaccines?
2. Should I keep the old dog in the back yard so he won't bring home anything while the pup gets his vaccines (I walk the old dog every day in the neighborhood)
3. Can I walk the pup in the neighborhood?

What can I do to reduce to a minimum the chances for the pup to contact any virus or other disease during his first 3 month of life?

Thank you.
