In the past few days the unheard of has happened and Pepper has been funny about his breakfast i.e not eating it!. He ate everything at full pelt before. He still has 3 meals a day and I know he needs to go down to 2 but surely lunch is the obvious one to miss!He is fine in himself and full of beans!(now 9 months old)Any ideas? ;)

i would go with what he wants, mine often done get breakfast until nearly lunchtime at weekends (when we have a longer off lead walk or agility in the morning).
-
Seeing as he should be on two meals per day i would take up the breakfast if he isn't interested and give him nothing more until his evening meal,he will be fine ;)

Hello
Yes, I know this feeling: Daisy just turned her nose up at breakfast, but she likes a meal at mid morning break and again at lunch time. To me it seemed bizarre that she wouldn't want brekkie, but I think you should just go with the flow. They'll never starve. :005:

If you want him to have 2 meals a day give him a very small dinner tonight so he's hungry in the morning ;)
Also, is he chewing a lot more? He could be secondary teething (where his molars bed in) so that could be making eating a little painful..

Thanks so much for all the help...Pepper is nearly 9 months could this be when his 2nd mollars are coming in as he is chewing a lot.
-
yes it could be the right time for his teeth to bed in :D
Some also go through a stage around this time where they generally do go off their food - it's not uncommon at all ;)
-
Milly's at this stage right now, 9 months old and I'm sure it's her 2nd molars are causing a bit of discomfort.
We've moistened her kibble and that seems to help but she really loves crunching a bit of raw carrot and spends a lot of time chomping down on a rope toy she has.

Pepper has eaten a better the last two days, but if he goes off again I will try moistening the kibble. Thanks for the reassurance ;)

Toby not a brekkie fan either so he tends to go straight to lunch
