Hello from me and my Jaspy-Pants!
« on: August 07, 2014, 07:57:22 AM »
Hi everyone!

We've had a black Cocker Spaniel called Jasper for nearly 2 weeks now and I was told about this site from a lady on FB. I'm glad I've got somewhere to come for any advice we may need now :) Jasper's 18 weeks and he's enrolled in some training classes.  He's been to a few get-togethers with other dogs and has been doing really well learning his doggy manners.  We're always keen to expose him to new places with different people and dogs as we want him to be as well socialised as possible so if you know of any events / regular meetups in the Wigan area we'd love to hear from you!

Hi Jasper1234,

Welcome to you both :D

I'm sure Jasper loves the puppy classes my girl (Bessie) certainly did. So much we kept going to the other classes occasionally when she was too old for the puppy group. She had a little go at agility the other day for the first time and really enjoyed that too. I don't intend competing only going for fun as long as she enjoys it.
My goal in life is to be as good of a person my dog already thinks I am

Hi and welcome to COL :D

Is Jasper a show type Cocker or a worker? Getting him socialised is the very best thing you can do for him

Hello and welcome to you and Jaspy-Pants  :005:

We have Liesl, a two year old, gold cocker. Liesl has several nicknames which she answers to - one of the earliest of these was Liesl-Peasel which evolved into Liesl-Peasel-Pants and now commonly shortened to simply Pants (you get get some strange looks in the park calling for Pants!).

I can't tell you how my partner laughed after I read your post and exclaimed "there's another Pants!"  :005:

Looking forward to reading about Jaspy's future antics development and, of course, seeing some piccies of the little fellow.

 :D
