Laptop Keyboard

Wondered if anyone with a laptop has had this happen to them.

When I type its ok for a few words and then the cursor will shoot back to a totally different place in the typing   and quite often it puts in a smiley symbol in without me doing anything other than typing

Its driving me mad and takes me ages to post replies the cursor is jumping around all over the place.  

Anyone any experience of this?  Thanks xxxxxxx

Has been happening to my keyboard ( pc ) for a couple of weeks.
Drives me nuts - don't know why it happens and usually corrects itself.
Don't get the smileys though.

Yeah mine does that too.

I think it's just the key board on mine being really sensitive, it's a pain though, sometimes I put on the touch pad lock and that stops it  .

No smilies though.

This is quite common with laptops. I much prefer a full-sized keyboard plugged into the USB port - much more reliable!
