Internet Explorer 7

I Have just installed IE7 and have to admit that I am very impressed with all the fitures that there are on there.  (I suppose it took them long enough to develop).
Just wondering what any of you guys thought of it??

I use 7 and think it's great!

Was using the version supplied with BT which was pants - but have just gone for the straight M$ IE7 which is much cleaner.

IE7 has a lot of the features that Mozilla Firefox has offered for a while  - but there are still loads more Add-ons for Firefox that IE 

Mozilla are recommending that users upgrade to IE7 for those sites that are not yet Firefox compatible - mainly for the improved security features, I think

Has anyone else found that the font is slightly different with IE7 than it is with IE6 and Firefox ? It seems to me to be bolder but with the letters more squashed together - I've found COL really difficult to read with it. I've fiddled round in 'options' to try and alter it, with no luck.

I found that too - it's something called "clear type". You can uncheck it if you go to Internet Options - Advanced then scroll down to Multimedia where it's the first option. Took me ages to figure that out

Thanks Jane, that's done the trick - would never have found that out for myself. Not sure why it's called "clear type" though when it's quite the opposite.

Gilly - I've got IE7 and Firefox too but wish I'd just stuck with IE6. At least I knew where everything was with that.  Not sure I have any need for all the special features either - I don't like all this change, like things to stay the same.

IE6 has some pretty big security holes (even with the endless patches that were released) - hence the need to update to a new version 
Microsoft obviously decided that some of the Firefox features were something they wanted to integrate into their new product, rather than keep the user interface the same as IE6
