Title: Companion shows
Post by: lolajays on February 04, 2008, 03:01:40 PM
I know this has been posted before however I cant find it so please forgive me! I would like a list of the companion shows for 2008. Someone kindly posted a website address but I cant remember what it was. It listed all the shows both big and small. If anyone can help me I would be very grateful.
Take care
Tracey and Maudie xx

The KC site only shows events that includes their special companion club classes.
Perhaps we could add events to this thread as we hear of them.

5th of May at Medlesham school (Suffolk) fun dog show with their street fair judging starts 11am

I think i found something last year will investigate, but from memory of localish ones.

HWAR dog show - Eastnor Castle - 20th April

yeovil dog show - 22nd of June (I think)
West (or east) Coker - was the same weekend as Yeovil Airshow last weekend.

trying to think where else we went last year....

Four Paws show (South Wales) will probably be August.

Bristol University Veterinary School, Langford, Somerset - 8th June

Will see what else I can find...

I never find out about any of the local fun dog shows until too late  ph34r

I wish there was a central directory where you could go and look for them
Title: Re: Companion shows
Post by: emilyjw on March 28, 2008, 02:05:06 PM
Perhaps we could do a thread per area and then add details of ones we know of.
Title: Re: Companion shows
Post by: Jane S on March 28, 2008, 03:40:27 PM
Companion Shows are not always planned as far in advance as the more formal shows making a central directory quite difficult. How about we pin this thread as a sticky and then people can just add events as they find out about them?
Title: Re: Companion shows

Sounds like a good plan - i will get more details and edit my post above with those.

DIRECTIONS
Birchyfields is just off the A465 Bromyard to Hereford road, on the edge of Bromyard.
From A44 from Worcester turn left on to the A465; just past Top Garage on the right is Panniers Lane; turn right into that road and immediately left is the main entrance to Birchyfields.
From A44 from Leominster turn right just after the pedestrian crossing with lights into Panniers Lane. Just before the T-junction by Top Garage turn right into the main entrance to Birchyfields.
(Parking for the car boot sale on the (very large) site at the same time is from Panniers Lane and will be well away from the Dog Show. But it may be quicker, if coming from the Leominster direction, to go on to the A465 and turn right there.)
From Ledbury, turn right onto the A465 and you will see Top Garage very soon; turn left there.

Parking will be by the ring, with large trees and a marquee for shade.

All rescues welcome to have a stand free of charge.
